Spa Hotel Rauhalahti has been awarded the Green Key eco-label and the Sustainable Travel Finland (STF) label, demonstrating our commitment to sustainable tourism and environmental responsibility.
Responsible Operations
Spa Hotel Rauhalahti’s sustainability plan is updated at least every three years. It outlines our commitment to making sustainable tourism an essential part of our business, with our staff dedicated to continuous improvement. We set new goals annually and work according to our values:

We comply with international, national, and local legislation and respect the rights of local communities. Energy efficiency is always taken into account in our operations, from procurement and logistics to the introduction of new technology, renewable energy, and staff training.

Energy Renovation and Results
In March 2021, Spa Hotel Rauhalahti carried out an energy renovation in cooperation with LeaseGreen. The new technology reduces energy consumption, lowers the carbon footprint, cuts costs, and improves building conditions.
Results from 4/2021–1/2025:
-CO₂ emissions reduced by 492,440 kg
What does this mean in practice?
– Equivalent to 3.5 million km driven by a petrol car
– Equal to the annual production of 4,749 solar panels
– Comparable to 4,064 return flights to Stockholm
– The same as 19,692 return ferry trips to Tallinn
– Equal to the yearly emissions of 112 detached houses
