Hiking Tour in Pyhähäkki National Park
Experience an unforgettable hiking tour in the Pyhähäkki National Park where you can still hear the old pine trees whisper in the wind. The duration of the trip is 3–5 hours including the transportation to Pyhähäkki. The hiking trail is 3–6 kilometres long. A guide will be with you to introduce the park and to lead the way. Coffee and sausage grilling at the resting place. Group size 5–20 people.

Hiking Tour of 2 days from Pyhähäkki to Summassaari
Experience an unforgettable two day hiking tour from the Pyhähäkki National Park to Summassaari. On the first day there is hiking and overnight in tents. Next day paddling in Saarijärvi till Summassaari.

The tour is about 36 km (of which 18 km paddling)

Participants must have rucksacks, clothing and equipment of their own.

Canoeing on Lake Summasjärvi
2–20 people, duration 2–3 hours, journey 5–8 kilometres
Starting place at the Hotel Summassaari beach.
Kayaks and Indian canoes are used. Coffee/tea and sausage grilling half way on the trip.

The Seven Lake Canoeing Safari
The Seven Lake Canoeing Safari begins and ends on the lake Summasjärvi. Other lakes on the safari include Kiimasjärvi, Pyhäjärvi, Iso Lumperoinen, Pieni Lumperoinen, Saarijärvi and Kallinjärvi. The safari starts and ends in Summassaari.
The whole safari is about 40 kilometres long.
The safari takes 2 days (spend the night on an island in the lake Pyhäjärvi).

White Water Rafting and Canoeing Safaris
Feel the refreshing splash of water on your face and admire the surrounding nature while rafting or canoeing down the rapids. Group size 5-10 persons
Route 1: Route from Lomakouhero Holiday Village to the Kettusalmi bridge. The length of the route is about 9 kilometres of which 2 kilometres are rapids with Heijostenkoski rapids being the largest. Length about 2,5 hours including breaks.
Route 2: Route from Heijostenkoski rapids to Kettusalmi bridge. The length of the route is about 3 kilometres. During the trip there is about 30 minutes of white water rafting or canoeing.

Fishing Trip on the lake Summasjärvi
Go angling off the shores of Summassaari island or in boats/or in canoes with an experienced guide.
The duration of the trip is about 3 hours.

The price includes fishing licences and tackle, packed lunch, services of a guide, boats, canoes and insurance. The fisherman gets to keep the catch.
Fishing Trip to Heijostenkoski Rapids or Riekonkoski Rapids
Go fly fishing or spin fishing in the rapids with a guide. The trip will be organised either to the Heijostenkoski rapids or the Riekonkoski rapids.
The duration of the trip is 4–6 hours. 15.5. – 31.8.
Group size: 3–6 people.
Fish to catch: stocked fish (grayling and trout).

The price includes fishing licences, fishing tackle, services of a guide, packed lunch, insurance and transportation to the rapids and back to Summassaari. The fisherman gets to keep the catch.
Archery in Summassaari
Shoot competition rounds with a recurve bow at target boards. The shooting takes place in Summassaari near a Lapp Hut. The best shooters will receive rewards. After the competition, you can grill sausages and enjoy a cup of coffee or tea in a Lapp Hut while the prize ceremony takes place.
The duration of the event is about 2–3 hours.

Clay Pigeon Shooting
Shoot in a clay pigeon competition with a shotgun. Twenty clay targets per person. The competition will be arranged at an outdoor shooting range about 20 minutes by car from Summassaari. The best shooter will receive a reward. May–October 1.5.-31.10.
Duration of the competition including transportation is about 2–3 hours.

After the competition you can relax with a cup of coffee or tea and enjoy the prize ceremony in a Lapp hut.

Stone-Age Games
Stone-Age Games offers an enjoyable and realistic way to explore what life was like in Finland during the Stone Age. The games begin with a tour around the Stone-Age Village. The rest of the games take place around the Lapp huts next to the Stone-Age Village. The games include f.e. a nature quiz, hunting with a stone-age spear, throwing an axe at a target board, shooting with a bow and arrow and building a bridge. You can take part in the games individually or as teams. Winners will receive rewards. The games end with coffee and tea served in the Lapp hut as you grill sausages over open fire. The duration of the games is 2–3 hours. If it is dark, the contestants will be given head lamps.

320 € / group (5–15 people), 400 € / group (16 – 20 people), if there are more than 20 people each additional person will be charged 10 €.

The Great Adventure of Summassaari
With the help of a wilderness guide, the group will be divided into small teams, which will then compete with each other in various tasks over five to ten checkpoints around the Summassaari isle. Tasks at the checkpoints vary according to the size of the teams and the season. Tasks include f.e. canoeing, axe throwing, competing in wilderness skills and competing with Stone-Age equipment like spears, bow and arrows.
At the end of the adventure the best team will receive a reward. The duration of the adventure is 2–4 hours.

Hunting
You can hunt rabbits between the 1st of September and the 28th of February with dogs or by tracking. You can hunt fowl between the 10th of September and the 15th of October. Also elk hunting available.
Transportation to the hunting area and back from Summassaari
The client must have valid game licences.

WINTER ACTIVITIES
Ice Fishing
Go ice fishing on Lake Summasjärvi and find the places where the big perch hide. Experience the pulling of the fishing nets from under the ice while admiring the beauty and peacefulness of the lake and the surrounding nature in the winter. Trips to other lakes can be arranged on request.
Ice-fishing trip for 2–50 people. The duration of the trip is about 3 hours.
Try ice-fishing and pulling in the under-ice fishing nets or take part in an ice-fishing contest.
Have a nice, hot cup of coffee / tea and a sausage while fishing.
In case there is a lot of snow on the ice, we may use snowshoes or snowmobiles.

Snowshoe Adventure into the Stone Age
Take a wintry journey back in time into the Stone Age. The snowshoe adventure into the Stone Age familiarises you with the artefacts, habits, dwellings and traps of the Stone-Age man. At the end of the adventure you can have a hot cup of coffee and grill a sausage in a traditional Lapp hut.
A snowshoe adventure for 5–30 people. The duration of the adventure is about 1,5–2 hours.
The route (1 kilometre) takes you from Hotel Summassaari to the Stone-Age Village.
A tour in the Stone-Age Village and the near-by Saarenpää Stone-Age Exhibition.
Experience shooting with a Stone-Age bow and arrow and using tools from the era.
We use snowshoes, poles, and head lamps if it is dark.
