Santa Claus' Home at Jätkänkämppä
Santa Claus’s home and other activities are situated in the beautiful natural environment of Rauhalahti, just 6 km from the centre of Kuopio. The area can be reached from Spa Hotel Rauhalahti.
The whole family will enjoy the magical atmosphere of Santa Claus’s home which is situated in an original 1950’s log cabin. In the surrounding area you will meet elves, reindeer, huskies and lambs which you can pet. Experience this winter wonderland at its best on the dog sled and sleigh rides. There is pony riding for the younger members of the family. Other outdoor activities include an ice roundabout, tobogganing and fun games with the elves.
Experience speed and excitement on the Santa Claus adventure, snowmobile safari and quad bikes. New fishing village in the area gives you a real feeling of winter fishing.
The highlight of the visit will be of course meeting Santa Claus himself. In Santa Claus’s home the accordionist creates an absorbing atmosphere where everyone will want to join in playing and singing with the elves and different musical instruments. There are handicraft activities and gingerbread baking for the children.
In the cafe you can enjoy the soup of the day, different pastries as well as hot and cold drinks. Around the campfire outside, you can try flamed salmon, reindeer, grilled sausages and pancakes. Quality goods can be bought in the gift shop.

Safaris and trips at Santa Claus' home
Adventure day at Santa Claus’ Home
Doings and experiences for all ages both inside and outside. The trip starts at Santa Claus Home and the programme includes snowmobiling, husky-safari and skating. In addition the package includes Santa Claus Trip: you will take part in searching the keys of Santa’s present box.. The adventure day includes entrance to Santa Claus Home and also lunch at Santa Claus Home and a small Christmas present. Fishing is available (extra cost).

Santa Claus' Trip
The trip leaves from Santa Claus’s home. You will be led on this adventure by a Finnish/English/ Russian speaking guide. Santa Claus has lost his keys of the present box and he is calling helpers in order to find them. During the forest trip you will meet all kinds of figures..when this mystery has been solved, it is time for some games and songs, and Santa Claus will give everyone a small present. Some warm drinks during the trip.

Snowmobile safari
This is an easy safari for everyone. Age limit for driving is 15 years, but children can sit on the snowmobiles behind the driver. Safari includes snacks around a campfire.
NOTE! Participant’s personal liability in case of accidents is 500 € max.
